Remarks on the Program Function

By use of this program you can maintain the basic data, i.e. insert new records, edit and delete the existing ones. You can also display the data on the screen for enquiry only.

Price lists are assigned directly to a company, i.e., for each company in the system, there can be a maximum of 9999 price lists, from 1 to 9999. The items assigned to a price list of a company have to be already defined in the system for that company.

Program Prices is reached via Item -> Price. The prices of the linked price lists can be modified here.

Remarks on the Input Fields

This paragraph will provide a short overview over the options available for updating these Basic Data.

Just like in almost any other program:

• The Input Mask may be different in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program depending on the set-up of the application. In some cases some Data Fields may be missing.
• Some input fields may contain default values or defined selection options; these cannot be updated.
• The input mask contains some fields that require an entry and others in which entries are optional.
• If the data record is updated via multi-page input masks, go to the Dialog Window by clicking on the appropriate buttons with <Mouse key 1>.
• The same procedure applies to call up another update program from this program.
• In some cases you may find that so-called "Switches" which - depending on the default - can be activated or deactivated with <Mouse key 1>. Activated switches are identified by their dark color, deactivated switches are lighter-colored.

Item

Permitted  input range: decimal, max. 14 digits

Enter the number of the item which is to be assigned to the price list.

For changes or deletions, the records can be retrieved by entering the numbers in the key fields. If you do not know the number, you can also select the data record via the Search Function.

Price List

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of price list for the item.

Price

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 10 digits with max. 2 decimal places

The standard price of the item which is normally used for posting when the item is sold is entered in this field.

Special Price 1

Permitted  input range: decimal, max. 10 digits with max. 2 decimal places

This is the field for Special Price 1. Special Prices 1 to 12 can be used by the system to replace automatically or manually the normal standard price of the item by the Special Price when the item is sold.

Button activated: This item is blocked from sale
Button activated: This item is released for sale

Blocked items cannot be sold.

Recipe

Permitted input range: numeric 1 - 9999999

A different recipe can be linked to the item in this field.

Notes!
Recipes are usually linked to an sales item via the program item -> linkage. A recipe can also be linked via the item price. The linkage of an recipe via the list item has always priority against the recipe linkage in program item.

The prerequisite for the link of a different recipe to the same item is that another price list has been linked to this branch or profit center and that the different recipe already exists.

Example:
In branch1 item 1 "Sandwich" is sold with recipe 1 "Ham". The same item 1 "Sandwich" is sold in branch 2 with recipe 2 "Tuna fish". The link of different recipes to the same sales item is established via the different price lists.

Stock type

Permitted input range: numeric 1 - 99

The item can be linked to another stock type in this field to allow link to another store.

The prerequisite for the link to another stock type for the same sales item is that it has already been linked to this branch or profit centre and that different stores exist.

Example:
In branch 1 item 1 "Sandwich" is sold with stock type "Counter". The same item 1 "Sandwich" is sold in branch 2 with stock type 2 “Kitchen". The link of different stock types to the same item is established via the different stock tables.
