Creating new records

To insert a new waiter pen table, the numbers of the company and the branch are to be entered. An unused number should then be entered for the waiter pen table ( 1 to 99). Make sure that the table number agrees with the given terminal number. Enter the number of the waiter pen which should be assigned to a waiter number. The number can be found on the respective waiter pen. Depending on the waiter lock, there can be a maximum of 256 different waiter pens. Enter then the number of the operator to whom the pen is assigned.

Changing records

Retrieve the record you want to change by entering the number of the company, branch, waiter pen and operator. The record is then displayed on the screen. Move the cursor to the fields where changes have to be made and save the modified record back into the system.

Deleting records

After the record is displayed by entering its number, select the delete command from the Process menu or from the Toolbar. Note, that the record can only be deleted if all the requirements for deletion are fulfilled.

Just like in almost any other program:


Company

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the company to which the waiter is assigned. The name of the company will then be displayed on the right, next to the input.

For changes or deletions, the record can be retrieved by entering the numbers in the key fields. If you do not know the number, you can select the data record via the Search Function.

If this application program is called from another application program, the number and name will be displayed.


Branch

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the branch to which the waiter is to be assigned. The name of the branch will be displayed on the right, next to the input field.

If you do not know the number, you can select the data record via the Search Function.

If this application program is called from another application program, the number and name will be displayed.


Waiter Pen Table

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99

Every waiter pen table must be programmed under a unique no. in the system. Enter a free no. for a new waiter pen table. If changes or deletions are to be made enter the number of the table; the related data will be displayed.

Please note that although a table is created in this program it only becomes effective if the table no. matches the no. entered for the POS terminal.


Waiter Pen

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99999999

Enter the number of the waiter pen which applies to the given waiter pen or the fixed waiter key. The pen number can be found on the corresponding waiter pen.


Operator

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99999999

Enter here the number of the operator. The operator has to already exist in the system before entry here. However, you can branch to the Operator maintenance program by clicking the button to the right of the arrow symbol.
