POSLog Parameter

The following program description deals with:


Remarks on the Program Function

By use of this program you can maintain the data for the POSLog parameter, i.e. insert new records, edit and delete the existing ones. You can also display the data on the screen for enquiry only.

 

Note:
With the POSLog interface of MICROS Retail OSCAR POS will support the data exchange developed by the Association for Retail and Transaction Standards (ARTS).

The export of the POSLog data will start by the report "POSLog Export".


Remarks on the Input Fields

This paragraph will provide a short overview over the options available for updating these Basic Data.

Just like in almost any other program:


Company

Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 9999

Select the number of the company to which the POSLog parameter is to be linked.

If the number is not known, the data record can be selected with Search.


Branch

Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 99999

Select the number of the Branch to which the POSLog parameter is to be linked.

If the number is not known, the data record can be selected with Search.


Schema path..

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric, max. 40 pos.

Enter the full path of the schema file "POSLog.xsd" in this field (e.g. C:\MICROS Retail OSCAR POS_POS45\work\\work\PosLOg\ POSLog.xsd). Per default those files will be stored in the folder "..\work\PosLOg\".


Max. transact./file

Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 99999

Enter a cvalue in this field, to determine the maximum number of transactions stored in the export file. The export files will be stored with the name "PosLog_nn_n.xml" (nn_n = serial numbering) in the export folder.

 

Notes:

The folder for the export files has to be specified in Application -> Organisation -> Branch -> Branch path by the environment variable "POSLOGEXPORT" (e.g. C:\POSLog\EXPORT\").
