Remarks on the Program Function

By use of this program you can maintain item positions for the goods returns, i.e. create new data records, modify or delete existing data. You can also view already stored data for information purposes.

Basically, a goods return consists of two parts: the formal data and the actual items of a return.

In a first step, the formal data is created via the program Goods Return, i.e. you give a goods return number, a stock number, enter the supplier number, define the date and time etc. Basically, you create a form in which the actual entries, the items, are still missing, though.

In the second step, you make the missing entries which refer to the items which are assigned to the goods return. This assignment takes place via this program.

Notes:

• The Goods Return is only finished correctly after you have clicked on the Execute button after saving your entries via the tool bar. The goods return receives the status Confirmed then.
• Please note:
  After you have confirmed a goods return, you can still view the data but you cannot modify it.

Remarks on the Input Fields

This paragraph will provide a short overview over the options available for updating these basic data

Just like in almost any other program:

• The input mask may be different in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program depending on the set-up of the application. In some cases some data fields may be missing.
• Some input fields may contain default values or defined selection options; these cannot be updated.
• The input mask contains some fields that require an entry and others in which entries are optional.
• If the data record is updated via multi-page input masks, go to the dialog window by clicking on the appropriate buttons with <Mouse key 1>.
• The same procedure applies to call up another update program from this program.
• In some cases you may find that so-called "Switches" which - depending on the default - can be activated or deactivated with <Mouse key 1>. Activated switches are identified by their dark color, deactivated switches are lighter-colored.

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 40 chars.

You can enter a free text describing the item positions of this goods return.

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 13 positions,  max. 3 decimal digits

Enter the desired quantity for these items.

Price/order unit

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 11 positions, max. 3 decimal digits

Displays the single price for the item as it is ordered from the selected supplier.

Position value

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 11 positions, max. 3 decimal digits

Displays the total value of these item positions.

Fixed costs

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 11 positions, max. 3 decimal digits

If applicable, enter fixed costs you would like to assign to this goods return position.
