Shop Transfer Protocol
The
following program description deals with:
By
use of this program you can view the data of the transfer protocol. The
details, i.e. the individual Positions of the
referred transfer protocol, are displayed in the bottom part of this program.
All
changes made in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program for the shop properties and internet
customers have to be transferred to the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS internet shop. In the same
way, the orders entered in the internet shop have to be transferred to the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS
program to be processed there.
The
transfer of data from and to the internet shop is carried out via the following
buttons:
- Update Shop = The changes to the shop properties are transferred to the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS
internet shop by a click on the button Shop
Update in the update program Shop
Property.
- Update MICROS Retail OSCAR POS = The customer orders from the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS internet shop are
transferred to the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application by a click on the button Customer/Orders from Shop in the
update program Shop Property.
- Create new Shop = Via the button Create new
Shop Database in the update program Shop
Property, all data is transferred from the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application to
the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS internet shop. The present shop database is deleted and a
new one is created.
This
paragraph will provide a short overview over the options available for updating
these Basic Data.
Just
like in almost any other program:
- The Input Mask may
be different in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program depending on the set-up of the
application. In some cases some Data Fields may be missing.
- Some input fields may contain default values or
defined selection options; these cannot be updated.
- The input mask contains some fields that require
an entry and others in which entries are optional.
- If the data record is updated via multi-page input
masks, go to the Dialog
Window by clicking on the appropriate buttons
with <Mouse key 1>.
- The same procedure applies to call up another
update program from this program.
- In some cases you may find that so-called "Switches"
which - depending on the default - can be activated or deactivated with
<Mouse key 1>. Activated switches are identified by their dark
color, deactivated switches are lighter-colored.
Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999
Enter
the number of the company for which you would like to view the transfer
protocol.
For
modifications or deletions, call the data record by entering the numbers in the
primary key fields. If you do not know the number, you can also select the data
record via the Search Function.
Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99999
Enter
the number of the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS internet shop for which you would like to view the
transfer protocol.
For
modifications or deletions, call the data record by entering the numbers in the
primary key fields. If you do not know the number, you can also select the data
record via the Search Function.
Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 999999999
Enter
the number of the transfer protocol you would like to view.
If
you do not know the number, you can also select the data record via the Search Function.
Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99999
Enter
the number of the branch for which you would like to view the transfer
protocol.

Field with firmly defined selection options
Select
the transaction type you would like to view.
The
MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program offers the following transaction types for selection:
You
can make the selection by clicking in the field and selecting the desired
option from the list.
Permitted input range: DDMMYYYY (day, month, year)
Date
on which the transaction protocol has been generated.
Permitted input range: HHMMSS (hour, minute, second)
Time
at which the transaction protocol has been generated.
Permitted input range: numeric, 0 - 99
This
field shows the protocol type for the appropriate transfer protocol. The
protocol type depends on the setting of the parameter Protocol Type in the update program Shop
Property -> Add. Data.
There
you can define the following protocol type:
- no protocol = No transfer data will be recorded.
- All = All transfer data will be recorded in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS database.
- Transfer to Shop = Only data transferred to the internet shop (Shop Update)
will be recorded in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS database.
- Transfer from Shop = Only data picked up from the internet shop (Customer Orders
from Shop) will be recorded in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS database.
- Minimum = Only minimum status data will be recorded.
Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 32 chars.
Displays
the name of the protocol type of this transfer protocol.
- no protocol = No transfer data will be recorded.
- All = All transfer data will be recorded in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS
database.
- Transfer to Shop = Only data transferred to the internet shop (Shop Update)
will be recorded in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS database.
- Transfer from Shop = Only data picked up from the internet shop (Customer Orders
from Shop) will be recorded in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS database.
- Minimum = Only minimum status data will be recorded.

the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS internet shop by a click on the button Shop Update in the update program Shop Property.
- Update MICROS Retail OSCAR POS = The customer orders from the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS internet shop have
been transferred to the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application by a click on the button
Customer/Orders from Shop in the update program Shop
Property.
- Create Shop = Via the button Create new
Shop Database in the update program Shop
Property, all data was transferred from the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application to
the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS internet shop. An existing shop database will be completely
deleted before the new creation.
