This paragraph will provide a short overview over the options available for updating these basic data

Just like in almost any other program:


Language

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99

In this field, you define the language.

You can assign a language that already exists in the system by entering the number. If you do not know the number, you can also select the data record via the Search Function.

Frame Name

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 20 chars.

Via this field you define in which area, in which frame the form is to be used (e.g. Sales in the terminal program). The frame names cannot be maintained, all frame names to be assigned are already stored in the system. Select the corresponding name by use of the search function. This process might take some minutes. If you already know the name you can also enter it manually in the field.


Field Name

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 20 chars.

Via this field you define the field name. Field names are linked to frame names. By the selection of the frame name, the provided field names will be displayed. Make an appropriate choice.

This field entry is accessed by other programs (e.g. Transaction Type).


Translation

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 32 chars.

Also the translation of the field name is displayed simultaneously with the  frame name, i.e. you can select the required translation from the selection window. These texts are e.g. those which are displayed visibly on the screen.


Key Code

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 20 chars.

If this text is a menu command, the short cut with which the command can be executed is to be entered in this field (e.g. Alt<Key>End = Last field).

Descriptor

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 8 chars.

In this field, the text referring to the short cut is displayed if this command is a menu command and if a character sequence is entered in the field Key Code.
