The following program
description deals with:
As from version MICROS Retail OSCAR POS 41 automatic software update will be carried out on the basis of new criteria (ASU 2). This is done automatically using the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS version under which the automatic software update is started.
As the functions of this program differ considerably in many points this documentation has been divided up as follows:
· As from version MICROS Retail OSCAR POS 41 "Software Update 2" (ASU 2) will be used.
· Program "Software-Update" (ASU) will be used for MICROS Retail OSCAR POS versions 40 and older.
By use of this program, you
can view error and status messages recorded during a Software Update of the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program.
Note:
By default,
only error and info messages are displayed in the list window. If you would
like to view all recorded messages, you have to activate the option Warning
and Debug to be able to view the warnings and debug messages.
This paragraph will provide
a short overview over the options available for updating these Basic Data.
Just like in almost any
other program:
Permitted input range:
numeric, 1 - 99999
Displays the number of the
installation of which the log file has been recorded during a software update.
Permitted input range:
numeric, 1 - 9999
Displays the number of the
software update for which a log file has been recorded during a software
update.
Permitted input range:
numeric, 1 - 9999
Displays the number of the
position as it has been recorded in the log file.
Permitted input range:
numeric, 1 - 9999
Displays the number of the
system unit for which a log file has been recorded during a software update.
Permitted input range:
DDMMYYYY (day, month, year)
Date on which the position
has been stored in the log file.
Permitted input range:
HHMMSS (hour, minute, second)
Time at which the position
has been stored in the log file.
Field with firmly
defined selection options
Displays the name of the
log type for the selected position.
You can select a particular log type and click on the Search button to view
positions of this type only in the list window.
The following log
types can be displayed:
Permitted input range:
alphanumeric, max. 60 chars.
Displays the text for the
selected LOG position.
