IMC Devices

For the operation of IMC devices, the interface card IMC 70 must be installed in the system unit and configured as follows:

• In the directory ..\bin\ of the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application, the IO address for the interface card must be set up correctly in the file "AdsImc70.inf". The default value is 1120 but it can be changed into 1220 or 1320 if necessary.
• Install the system driver by selecting the file "AdsIm70.inf" and chosing the command Install in the context menu.
• End and restart the operating system to activate the IMC 70 driver.

After a successful installation and configuration of the interface card IMC 70, you can configure the IMC devices in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application. All of the devices mentioned in the following are to be assigned to the interface /dev/adsimc70 in the update program Device. This interface must be configured in the update program Interface Type as follows:

• Device Interface = 98 (free number)
• Descriptor = IMC 70
• Device Name = /dev/adsimc70

The following IMC devices can be connected to the interface card IMC 70:

• IMC Display
• IMC Drawer
• IMC Keyboard
• IMC Magnetic Card Reader
• IMC Printer
• IMC Scanner
