If too many unused scenario instances remain in the profile repository, performance of your sites may suffer due to excessive load and memory use. To prevent overloading scenario servers, the Oracle Commerce Platform allows you to specify expiration times for scenarios and restrict the maximum number of instances. The limits are enforced by tools that purge expired instances and prevent creation of additional instances when the maximum number has been reached. This chapter describes how to enable and use these tools.
