Commerce Anywhere Business Process Integration Scenarios

Commerce Anywhere Home

Scenarios Overview
This document shows how Oracle Retail envisions retailers implementing common customer order scenarios as part of its Commerce Anywhere (CA) solution.  Since all retailers are different, and many of the applications described in these scenarios are proprietary to the retailer, the document makes some assumptions around those applications.

Note: The Empowered Commerce Journeys in the RRA reflect Oracle Retail V15.0 functionality and have been depicted with a generic Commerce Platform. These architectural diagrams will be updated with V16.0 application functionality in a future RRL release.

Functional summaries of the Empowered Commerce Journeys reflecting V16 are available in the RRM component of the RRL.

Please email retailprocess_ww@oracle.com for more information.

All interfaces labeled Field Enabled Integration include an application not developed by Oracle Retail.  As a result, these interfaces as part of the Commerce Anywhere solution will require some effort by the retailer to integrate to their environment for the integration of the solution. All other interfaces in these scenarios show integration contracts between Oracle Retail applications delivered as part of the CA solution.

This document assumes a customer order is an order created for a customer in an Online Order Capture (OOC), Order Management System (OMS) or in a store via a POS System.  A customer order can consist of one or more fulfillment orders.  Fulfillment orders are sent to the Oracle Retail applications RMS, SIM and RWMS to be fulfilled.
