To keep iPads running the Assisted Selling Cloud app from potential misuse in a store setting, you can set the device up to run only the app in a restricted mode, sometimes called kiosk mode. Apple provides two approaches to this type of security: Guided Access mode or Single App Mode.
In Guided Access mode you can temporarily lock an iPad to a single app with a password. However, if the store sales associate had obtained or guessed the password (PIN) you established, they could leave Guided Access mode and access other apps on the iPad.
In Single App Mode, the iPad in locked to a single app using Apple Configurator and cannot leave that mode without being reconfigured with the Apple Configurator.
