Dimension values that represent ranges of values must be organized in specialized hierarchical dimensions known as range dimensions. The data type of a range value can be ALPHA, INTEGER, FLOAT, DOUBLE, or DATETIME.

If the user clicks one of the price ranges -- for example,

include all records in the index that fall within this price range.
