Trim transformation

A transformation type Trim whitespace will transform data from the incoming file by removing unnecessary whitespace from strings. You have the option of trimming whitespace from the beginning and end of strings.

To configure a trim whitespace transformation:

  1. Locate the data model attribute you want transformed and click its Transform link. The Transform dialog is displayed, and it shows the source fields (source) and schema attributes (target).

  3. Use the Transformation type list to select Trim whitespace.

  5. Use the checkboxes to select to trim whitespace from the beginning and end of strings. You have the option of selecting both checkboxes or only one of them.

  7. Optionally, test the transformation by entering a value in the Sample input field. The transformed value will display in the Output field.

  9. Click Apply.
