Audiences

Use audiences to select members of a Customer Data List who meet a variety of conditions across different types of profile, third-party, and multi-channel behavioral data.

Each audience applies to a specific Customer Data List. This means that you cannot use an audience you create for one list with another list.

You define audiences by combining up to 10 filters using AND, OR, and MINUS operations.

After you publish the audience, you can analyze it to see the total audience counts and the count for each filter, and change the filters or the way they are connected. When you’re satisfied with the results, you can use the audience for analysis in CX Audience or publish it to use in your marketing software.

Tasks

To create an audience, you need to:

  1. Create filters for the Customer Data List.
  2. Design the audience using the Audience Designer.
  3. Publish the audience locally.
  4. Run and analyze the audience to get counts for the filters and operations, and make adjustments as necessary.
  5. Create waterfall-based segmentation, which allows you to create and prioritize segments within an audience.

To use the audience in your marketing system: Publish the audience to Oracle Responsys or to an SFTP site.
