Analyzing Trends in the Income Statement Dashboard

The Income Statement Dashboard shows key metrics and trends for Actual and Forecasted values of the income statement. You can view trends as an amount or percentage of total revenue.

You can use the Income Statement Dashboard to:

To analyze the Income Statement's key metrics and trends:

Note:

Maximize or refresh each trend graph by clicking the Maximize icon Maximinze icon and Refresh icon in each subform Refresh icon.

  1. From the Home page, go to Financials > Income Statement.

  2. Click Income Statement Dashboard at the bottom of the page.

  3. In the Point of View (POV), choose a Version, Subsidiary, Currency, Department, and Class.

  4. To see the key metrics in the KPIs subform:

    1. From the dropdown list in the KPIs subform, choose one of these options:

      • To see the graph by value, select Amount.

      • To see the graph by percentage of total revenue, select % of Total Revenue.

    2. Hover over a series line in the graph to see the series name, period (group), and value.

  5. To see the gross profit trend in the Revenue Drill subform:

    1. From the dropdown list in the Revenue Drill subform, choose one of these options:

      • To see the graph by value, select Amount.

      • To see the graph by percentage of the total revenue, select % of Total Revenue.

    2. Hover over a series line in the graph to see the series name, period (group), and value.

    3. (Optional) Click the line in the graph or Gross Profit in the legend to drill down into the trend. Drill further to see the income and cost of goods sold at the Account level.

  6. To see the Expense trends in the Expense Drill subform:

    1. From the dropdown list in the Expense Drill subform, choose one of these options:

      • To see the graph by value, select Amount.

      • To see the graph by percentage of total expenses, select % of Total Expenses.

      • To see the graph by percentage of the total revenue, select % of Total Revenue.

    2. Hover over a series line in the graph to see the series name, period (group), and value.

    3. (Optional) Click the line in the graph or Expense in the legend to drill down into the Expense trend. Drill further to see expense trends by type and at the Account level.
