Setting Default Metric and Period
You can set the default metric and period on the Preferences tab.
Setting the Default Metric
When you set the default metric either MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue) and ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue), it will be the default view used in dashboards. You can still manually change the metric used on the dashboard filters, but the metric will revert to the default when you exit the dashboard.
To set the default metric:
-
Log in to NetSuite.
-
On the Subscription Metrics tab, go to Setup, and click View.
-
Click Preferences.
-
Select the desired metric in Default Metric.
Setting the Default Period
By default, the period setting is set to the current Fiscal Year (FY). You can also set the period to YTM (Year to Month) and TTM (Trailing 12 Months). The selected period affects the start and end periods used in the monthly period type.
To set the default period:
-
Log in to NetSuite.
-
On the Subscription Metrics tab, go to Setup, and click View.
-
Click Preferences.
-
Select the Period.
The following examples illustrate how the period setting considers months. In these examples, the dashboard is viewed on August, 29, 2025 and the fiscal year is January to December:
