Shipping to Drop-off Points

You can ship to drop-off points instead of directly shipping to shipping addresses if you activate the Shipping to Drop-off Points system rule. You can ship orders locally or internationally through one of the following drop-off options:

On the app, you can specify the drop-off and pickup locations by using one of the following:

Shipping labels and item fulfillments reflect the drop-off location along with the shipping address on the order. The app doesn't update the Ship to Address on both the order transaction and customer record.

To ship to drop off points:

  1. On the app, access the orders or shipments that you want to process.

    For instructions, see Shipping Orders Through the App.

  2. On the Ship Packages page, click Drop Off.

  3. On the Service Point Locator popup window, from the Drop-Off Type field, select one of the following options:

    • If the shipping address is a residence or company, select Service Point to Home/Company.

    • If the shipping address is a carrier's service point, select either Home/Company to Service Point or Between Service Points.

  4. If you select Home/Company to Service Point, from Find Service Point By field, select one of the following methods to search for a drop-off point:

    • Latitude or longitude

    • Address

    • Address Segment (street, city, zip)

    If you select either Home/Company to Service Point or Between Service Points, you can select one of two methods:

    • Latitude or longitude

    • Address Segment (street, city, zip)

    The Address is auto populated from the custom record when you select a method.

  5. Click View Carrier's Drop-Off Point.

  6. On the Nearby Service Points popup window select the carrier's drop-off point.

  7. On the Ship Packages page, review any adjustments to the estimated shipping cost.

  8. Click Ship.

  9. On the Confirm Shipping Address popup, check the correct address.

  10. Click Print & Ship. A label is generated for your shipment.
