Updating the Actual Data Load Periods

In Data Management, update the Actual load periods (start and end) for the Batch_Data_Ongoing parameter. Actuals load from Planning and Budgeting to NetSuite as a part of the scheduled data load process.

Note:

You need to update the Load periods one time annually at the start of the financial year.

To update the start and end period for the Batch_Data_Load parameter:

  1. Log in to NetSuite Planning and Budgeting.

  2. Click the Navigator icon Screenshot of the Navigator icon in NSPB, and under Integration, select Data Management.

  3. Click the Setup tab.

  4. Under Batch, click Batch Definition.

  5. Select the Batch_Data_Load batch definition, and then click the Parameters tab.

A portion of the Batch Definition page in Data Management with Batch_Data_Load and the Parameter tab outlined in red.
  6. Enter values for the following fields:

    • Start Period – Enter the previous month. The start period should match the period in the NSP_PER_ActCurrMo substitution variable.

    • End Period – Enter the current month. The end period should match the period in the NSP_PER_BudCurrMo substitution variable.

    Tip:

The data load process loads the current and prior year. You should set the Start Period to TP1 of the previous year and End Period to TP12 of the current year.

For example, if you're closing January 2023, set the Start Period to Jan-22 and the End Period to Dec-23.

  7. In Data Management, click Save in the upper-right of the window.

Important:

After you update the parameters for the Actual load periods, make sure you update the substitution variables.

For example, update NSP_PER_PriorYr to FY22 and NSP_PER_ActCurrYr to FY23.
