Adding a New Data Load Rule

To extract budget data from your Planning and Budgeting, you need to define a data load rule within a specific Point of View.

To add a new data load rule:

  1. In your Planning and Budgeting environment, click the Navigator icon This icon takes you to the main menu in your Oracle EPM Planning application.. Then, under Integration, click Data Management.

  2. On the Workflow tab, under Data Load, click Data load Rule.

  3. In the Point of View bar at the bottom of the page, click the link next to Location to specify the Point of View:

    1. Click A magnifier that enables you to select the location where you want to add the data load rule. to select the location you created in Adding a New Location.

    2. Make any other necessary changes, and click OK.

  4. In Data Rule Summary, click the Add icon This lets you create a new data load rule in your Oracle EPM Planning application..

  5. In Details, do the following:

    1. In the Name field, enter a unique name for this data load rule.

    2. From the Category list, select the required category.

    3. From the Source Plan Type list, select the required source plan type.

    4. Click the Target Options subtab.

    5. As the Download File Name value, enter the name of the CSV file that the data load role should generate and store in Inbox/Outbox Explorer.

      Note:

      If you want to use the predefined NSPB - Import Budget Data Using DM post-processing plug-in, enter the following file name:

      nspbcsBudgetDm.csv

      The file name must match exactly, including upper and lower case.

  6. Click Save.
