Address Field Updates for Digital Receipts

We have updated the address fields available for digital receipts. The fields now are:

  • Address 2

  • City

  • State

  • ZIP

  • Country

These fields are available on the NSPOS Enable Features > Digital Receipt subtab and Location record > Digital Receipt subtab.

Improved Messaging for Staging Issues

We updated error and warning messages to provide better guidance in the event issues occur when staging a register. Updates include messaging for when:

  • NSPOS staging needs an additional [n GB] of free space before it can proceed.

  • An existing workstation is being staged as a different workstation/environment. Data currently on the workstation will be removed. However, the workstation has “stuck transactions” that could be lost if staging continues. To save these transactions, cancel staging and contact Customer Support.

Removed Non-EMV Payment Gateways

Payment gateways process credit and debit card payments made at the register, usually through a PIN-pad. Over the last year, we notified customers that we were removing payment gateway setups that do not use EMV protocols.

In the NSPOS 2020.1.1 e-fix, we modified the NetSuite ERP setup pages to remove non-EMV options. We removed options for:

  • Shift4 with NSPOS controlled devices

  • Worldpay DSIClientX application

Note that Worldpay (Vantiv) was previously known as Mercury Payment Systems (MPS). We will continue to support the EMV-enabled options provided by Shift4 and Worldpay.
