Investigating Data with Drill Options
You can investigate your data in Planning and Budgeting Financials by drilling down into the Account Details and drilling through to the underlying NetSuite data.
You'll find two drill options throughout the application to look at Accounts at the detail level:

Drill to Account Details

Drill through to NetSuite
Drilling to Account Details
Forms show aggregated data based on the Point of View, but sometimes you'll want to drill into the Account for more details. The Drill To option shows more information about the Account that you select.
This option is in forms that have the Drill To option in the context menu when you right-click an Account. The Drill To option differs by form. For example, you might see Drill to Account Details, Drill to Income Statement Details, Drill to Actual Inc Stmt Details, and so on.
To drill to Account Details:

From the Home page, click the relevant card.

Click the relevant tab on the left, and then click the relevant form at the bottom of the page.

In the Point of View, select the Dimension Members you want to see.

Find the Account you want to review, right-click it, and then select Drill to Account Details (or a similar option).
The Account Details form opens in a new tab and shows the Actual and Forecasted Account details for the selected Account.

From the Account Details form, you can drill back to your NetSuite general ledger entry. For details, see Drilling Through to NetSuite.
Note:You can only drill through to NetSuite from cells in the Actual columns that have the Drill Through icon
. This option isn't available on total rows.

To go back to the original form, click the its name at the bottom of the page.
Drilling Through to NetSuite
The Drill Through option lets you drill back into NetSuite to investigate transaction details. You’ll only see this option at the detailed level of the Income Statement form.
You access the Drill Through option from Account Detail, so you'll need to first drill to the Account Details. For instructions, see Drilling to Account Details.
Make sure that you're signed in to the NetSuite account that you want to drill through to.
You can also drill through to NetSuite when you’re working in Smart View, but Administrators needs to st this up. For more information about Smart View, see the Smart View User Guide.
To drill through to NetSuite from a budget form:

If you haven't already, drill down to the Account Detail level. For instructions, see Drilling to Account Details.

Right-click a cell with the Drill Through icon
icon and select Drill Through to source.
The Drill Through tab opens and shows details.

To drill into NetSuite, click the ellipsis icon
next to the detail line and select Drill Through to Source.
A NetSuite saved search opens in a new tab for the detail line that you're drilling into.

To see more NetSuite details, click View.
The transaction details show up.

Click Back to go back to the saved search results.

When you're done, close the saved search browser tab, and return to the Amount Details drill through window.

To go back to the original form, click the its name at the bottom of the page.
