Hiding a Category or Subcategory

Hiding a category makes it inaccessible to visitors. When hidden, the category doesn't show up in your store’s navigation or through direct links. You can't hide a category if it exists in multiple locations in the category hierarchy.

To hide a category or subcategory:

1. Log in to Site Management Tools (SMT). For details, see Logging into Site Management Tools.

2. Click the Overview Mode icon on the site management toolbar.

3. In the category list, go to the category or subcategory you want to hide and click the ellipsis to display the More Actions menu.

4. Click Hide in Site.

When you hide a category or subcategory, you’ll see a hidden icon in the Status column.

To display a hidden category or subcategory:

1. Log in to SMT. For details, see Logging into Site Management Tools.

2. Click the Overview Mode icon on the site management toolbar.

3. In the category list, go to the hidden category or subcategory you want to display, and click the ellipsis to display the More Actions menu.

4. Click Display in Site.
