Setting up a Penalty
After setting up your wage agreement, classifications, and conditions, you can assign penalties or fixed increases to a shift or period of shifts. You can set up different penalty rates for different employee levels.
To set up a penalty:
-
Open the wage agreement. See Accessing Wage Agreements.
-
Click the Penalties subtab.
-
Click + New penalty…
-
On the Create new Penalty window, complete the fields.
-
Condition – Select the condition that applies to the penalty.
-
Increase – Enter the amount to give to employees when the penalty is applied.
-
Levels – Choose an option.
-
Any – The penalty applies to any level.
-
Between level 0 and level 0 (inclusive) – Enter the range of levels that can receive the penalty. For example, if the penalty is for Level 1 and lower, enter Level 0 and Level 1. If it’s for Level 2 and above enter Level 2 and Level 0.
-
-
Jobs – From the Available Choices panel, select the jobs that can receive this penalty. If the penalty applies to all employees or shifts, do not select jobs. When you assign a job to a penalty, only the shifts with one of those jobs will be eligible for the penalty.
