Modify Google Tag Manager Services

You can edit or delete services using the Google Tag Manager (GTM) Editor.

You should use GTM Editor rather than GTM to modify GTM services.

Edit a Service

After adding a service, you can make changes to the settings using the GTM Editor. If you entered an incorrect service ID or other parameter, follow these steps to correct any of the setup parameters.

To edit a service using Google Tag Manager Editor:

  1. In NetSuite, go to Setup > SuiteCommerce Advanced > Google Tag Manager Editor.

  2. Click Sign In With Google and choose your account.

  3. Authorize NetSuite to access your Google account.

  4. Click the name of your container record.

  5. Go to the Configured Services tab and click Edit for the service you want to change.

  6. Make your changes.

  7. Click Save.

Remove a Service

You can delete a service from your GTM container using the GTM Editor.

To remove a service using Google Tag Manager Editor:

  1. In NetSuite, go to Setup > SuiteCommerce Advanced > Google Tag Manager Editor.

  2. Click Sign In With Google and choose your account.

  3. Authorize NetSuite to access your Google account.

  4. Click the name of your container record.

  5. Go to the Configured Services tab and click Remove for the service you want to remove.

  6. Click Remove to confirm removal of the service.

Restore a Supported Service

To restore services, you can use two methods:

Restore Services Using the Restore Defaults Feature

You can use the Restore Defaults feature to do the following:

  • Update default variable values.

  • Add missing default variables.

  • Add missing default triggers.

  • Update valid service tag values.

To restore defaults:

  1. In NetSuite, go to Setup > SuiteCommerce Advanced > Google Tag Manager Editor.

  2. Click Sign In With Google and choose your account.

  3. Authorize NetSuite to access your Google account.

  4. Click the name of your container record.

  5. Click Restore Defaults.

Restore Services by Removing and Adding a Service

If you edited a service in GTM, instead of using GTM Editor, the service might be moved to the Other Services tab. This tab also lists services not currently supported by GTM Editor.

To restore a supported service:

  1. In NetSuite, go to Setup > SuiteCommerce Advanced > Google Tag Manager Editor.

  2. Click Sign In With Google and choose your account.

  3. Authorize NetSuite to access your Google account.

  4. Click the name of your container record.

  5. Go to the Other Services tab and click Remove for the service you want to restore.
