Pick Task Reversal

Pick task reversals undo the order picking and remove the picked quantity to set it back to zero. Regardless if you reverse fully or partially picked quantities, the status of the line is set to Done status. Item fulfillments of completed lines that you reverse are deleted. You can release order lines associated with reversed pick task lines in another wave.

During a reversal, you cannot specify the quantity you want to reverse. You can reverse all the picked quantities within a pick task line. For orders of kit/package items, you must reverse all components at the same time.

You can reverse failed pick task lines if you want to release the associated order line in another wave, for instance. Note that you cannot reverse lines that have the Override Fulfillment Creation setting enabled. For more information, see Updating or Deleting Pick Tasks Generated from Waves.

For locations with bins, you return picked quantities back to the bin from which they were picked. If you want to select the destination bin on the app, you can activate the Choose bins for reversed pick task items? rule.

Using the NetSuite user interface or app, you can reverse pick tasks with fulfillments that have not yet been marked Shipped. You cannot directly reverse pick tasks for pending billing or billed orders. Before you can reverse them, you must delete the fulfillment records first. For more information, see Voiding, Deleting, or Closing Transactions.

If you use the Ship Central app to pack orders, you can also reverse pick tasks for those orders. The app deletes associated pack cartons and pallets, including printed labels and related documents. For more information, see Ship Central Packing.
