Prerequisites for ACH Payments

Complete the following Order Management tasks before you set up ACH Payments for your Commerce website:

  1. Create a Payment Method

  2. Create a Payment Processing Profile

Create a Payment Method

Follow the steps outlined in the Order Management help topic, Creating a Payment Method, to create a payment method. However, to make ACH payments work on your Commerce website, you must perform the following extra steps:

  1. Select ACH from the Type list.

  2. Check the Display in Web Site box.

  3. Save your ACH payment method and create an ACH payment processing profile. See Create a Payment Processing Profile.

  4. After your ACH payment processing profile is created, edit your ACH payment method.

  5. Under Associated Payment Processing Profiles, select your ACH payment processing profile.

Create a Payment Processing Profile

You must create an ACH payment processing profile to support processing ACH payment methods on your Commerce website.

To create an ACH payment processing profile:

  1. Enable ACH as a supported payment instrument on your NetSuite account by having your NetSuite account administrator install a third-party SuiteApp that supports ACH payment processing. See SuiteApps Documentation Summary for more information.

  2. Follow the steps outlined in the Order Management help topic, Setting Up an Alternative Payment Method Processing Profile to create a payment processing profile. However, to make ACH payments work on your Commerce website, you must perform the following extra steps:

    • In the Payment Information area, under Supported Payment Methods, select your ACH payment method.

    • In the Payment Information area, under Gateway Request Types, select Authorization and Capture Authorization.
