Installing the MCP Sample Tools SuiteApp

Important:

The MCP Sample Tools SuiteApp will be removed from the SuiteApp Marketplace in September 2025.

This SuiteApp will be replaced by the new MCP Standard Tools SuiteApp, which is also targeted to be available in September 2025.

You can still find the sample tools in the MCP-Sample-Tools directory of the SuiteCloud Project Repository on Oracle Samples GitHub.

This topic guides you through the installation of the MCP Sample Tools SuiteApp.

Prerequisites for the MCP Sample Tools SuiteApp

Before you install the MCP Sample Tools SuiteApp, you must enable the Server SuiteScript feature.

To enable the required feature:

  1. Go to Setup > Company > Enable Features.

  2. On the SuiteCloud subtab, check the Server SuiteScript box.

  3. Click Save.

Installing the MCP Sample Tools SuiteApp

The MCP Sample Tools SuiteApp is a managed SuiteApp and is automatically updated whenever enhancements or new features are added.

To install the MCP Sample Tools SuiteApp:

  1. Go to the SuiteApps tab.

  2. In the Search SuiteApps field, enter MCP Sample Tools.

  3. Click the MCP Sample Tools icon.

  4. On the top right of the SuiteApp details page, click Install.

  5. Wait for the installation to complete.

After Installation

After installing the SuiteApp, connect to the AI client. See Connect to NetSuite AI Connector Service.

The tools you see in the AI client depend on the permissions defined for each tool. A tool is visible only if your role has all the required permissions for that tool. For information about the required permissions for the tools included in the SuiteApp, see Available Tools in the MCP Sample Tools SuiteApp.

If the AI client shows an empty list of tools, the SuiteApp may not have been installed successfully. To check the installation status of the SuiteApp, see Viewing SuiteApp Installation or Uninstallation Status.
