NetSuite Preference Levels Overview
NetSuite offers a variety of preferences that you can set to meet your needs. These preferences are available at the levels shown in the following table:

The preferences you can set at each level depend on your NetSuite edition and which features are enabled.

The same preferences are available at the user and role levels, and some are also available at the company and subsidiary levels.

If a company-level preference doesn't allow overrides, you can't set it at the subsidiary, role, or user levels. See Overriding Company Preferences.

If the same preference is set at more than one level, NetSuite uses the following order:

A user preference overrides role, subsidiary, and company preferences.

A role-based preference overrides subsidiary and company preferences.

A subsidiary-based preference overrides company preference.

A company preference overrides the system default.
