Select Order Release Lines

This page is accessed via Financials > Damage Claim. Select a Claim. Click Claim Line Item. Click the Select Order Release Lines button.

Select an Order Release Line ID. If a shipment ID was entered on the Identification tab, only lines related to the shipment are available.

For each order release line, enter the Count to identify the number of items that were damaged. Leave the Count field blank to create claim line items based on the Total Package Count of the order release line.

Count is calculated based on if the field was left empty or if it was manually entered.

Count Field is Empty

If you leave the Count field empty, Oracle Transportation Management finds the number of Claim Line Items by first looking at the Shipment.

If Shipment Ship Unit Count field is greater than one and Count per Ship Unit field on the Shipment Ship Unit Line is greater than zero:

  • Count = (Ship Unit Count Field * Count Per Ship Unit Field)

Otherwise

  • Count = total Package Count on Shipment

If there is no Shipment, Oracle Transportation Management then calculates the number of Claim Line Items by looking at the Order Release.

If Order Release Ship Unit Count field is greater than one and the Count per Ship Unit field on the Order Release Ship Unit Line is Greater than zero:
  • Count = (Ship Unit Count field * Count Per Ship Unit field)

Otherwise

  • Count = Total Package Count on Order Release

Count Field is Populated

Oracle Transportation Management will use your Count unless it is greater than the Oracle Transportation Management calculated Count. If your count is greater than the Oracle Transportation Management calculated count, Oracle Transportation Management will use the calculated count.

After all the Order Release Lines and Counts are saved, Oracle Transportation Management displays the Claim line Item page to let you assign damage values for each selected item instance on the order.
