Order Release: Line Item Summary

This page is accessed via Order Management > Order Release > Order Release. Click the Line Item tab.

The Line Item tab on an order release displays each line item (packaged item) on the order and its distribution on ship units based on the release method and the packaging attributes of the item.

The property 'glog.query.limit.glog.server.query.order.OrderReleaseLineQuery' controls how many lines display. If there are more than the property allows, you get a message along with a button 'View Lines'.

The line item summary page for an order release is different from an order base in that each line item displays the ship units that contain the line item (indented beneath the line item). You can manually enter ship units and their corresponding line items on an order release or you can have Oracle Transportation Management calculate the appropriate ship units based on the number of line items and their attributes. These calculations are based on the release method that you choose on this page.

1. Modify line item or ship unit data by clicking edit ()on a line item row or the ship unit line row.
2. Click New Line Item to open a window where you can define a new line item.
3. Use the Select Line field to add order release lines to the ship unit. You can add multiple lines simultaneously.

   Note: You will not see this field if the order release is created by ship units.
   
   If you add multiple records to the ship unit, OTM will automatically copy the Total Package Count, Packaging Unit, Packaging Unit Net Count, Net Weight, and Net Volume fields from the selected order release line to the associated ship unit line.

4. Click Save after selecting lines to add.
