About Oracle Database for Spreadsheet Add-ins
Oracle Database for Spreadsheet Add-ins is a supplementary feature that facilitates seamless integration of a spreadsheet application with your Oracle Autonomous AI Database in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Advantages
Spreadsheet Add-ins enable a secure connection to your database instance in Oracle Cloud from a spreadsheet. You can then run queries on your database and retrieve the results in worksheets for analysis and reporting. This eliminates the need to manually export data and import it into the spreadsheet.
You can edit query results in the worksheet, but those edits are local to the spreadsheet and are not written back to the database. However, you can modify database objects or data using Direct SQL if you have the required privileges.
Note:
Oracle recommends using Spreadsheet Add-ins only with a properly licensed or officially free version of the spreadsheet application.
