Adoption Premium Proration

If an adopted child or adult is enrolled to an individual membership in the mid-term on or after the adoption date, the system uses the daily proration method to prorate the premium of the adopted child or adult. This method ensures that the premium is calculated based on the actual number of days of coverage, rather than charging for a full coverage period.
