Switch Health Profiles as an Authorized Representative or Caregiver in Patient Portal
If you are an authorized representative (proxy user) who has access to other connected profiles, you can switch to those other profiles to view the other person's health record and manage their care, for example, schedule appointments, view vaccine history, request renewals on prescriptions, and more.
If you are an authorized representative connected to multiple profiles, you can switch profiles anytime:
- Select your name at the top of the page to display a list of connected health profiles you can access.
Note:
If you do not have any other connected profiles, only the Sign Out menu option is displayed. Contact your provider's office to connect additional profiles to your account. - Select the name for the health profile you want to switch to.
The patient portal refreshes to show the Home page for that profile.
- Optionally, access the navigation menu to see the person's health record and manage their care, for example, schedule appointments, view vaccine history, request prescription renewals, and more. See Identity and Confidentiality in Patient Portal for information about what you can and cannot do after switching profiles.
When you are ready to return to your own profile, select the person's name at the top of the window to display the list of connected profiles, and select your own profile again.
Tip:
If you sign out while viewing another profile, the next time you sign in you are returned to your own profile. Switch to the other user's profile again to return to that information.
