Powering on the System
This section provides basic instructions on how to apply power
to the system. For detailed instructions, see your system documentation.
To Apply Power to the Server
- Verify that the HBA is securely installed in the system.
For more information, see Installing the Hardware.
- Verify that the correct optical or copper cable is attached to the HBA and to the FC
device.
- Power on the system, as described
in your system documentation.
- Observe the light-emitting diode
(LED) status for Power On Self Test (
POST) results, as described in Viewing LEDs.
