Creating a New Calculation Run


You can create a new calculation run using the following procedure.

To create a calculation run

  1. From the application-level menu, choose View > Site Map > Incentive Compensation Tracking > Calculation Runs.
  2. In the Calculation Runs list, click New, and enter a name for the new calculation run.
  3. In the new record, click the select button in the Period field, and in the Pick Period dialog box, select the period, and then click OK.
  4. In the Calculation Run form, complete the remaining fields.

    The following table describes the fields in the Calculation Run form.

    Aggregate Run Criteria

    (Optional) Text field used to define a search specification for the run based on fields in the Achievement Container Workbook.

    Archive for Release

    The check box, when selected, archives the current calculation run for the release. Select the check box to make a calculation run releasable. For more information, see Archiving Calculation Run Data for Release.

    Calculate Target Incentive

    The check box, when selected, indicates that all target incentive scripts associated with an applicable compensation plan or plan rules will be calculated. For more information, see Setting a Dynamic Target Incentive Calculation.

    Calculation Run Sequence

    The read-only field indicates the calculation run sequence value (for example, 2004.01.01 00.00.02).

    Complete Date

    Automatically displays the completion date for the selected calculation run. Read-only.

    Currency Exchange Date

    Enter or select a date (for example, 2003.05.20) to be used as the currency exchange date for the current calculation run. The default is the current date.

    Description

    (Optional) Text field used for information about the calculation run.

    Dirty Cap and Draw Balance

    Read-only field. The check box is selected or cleared depending on whether there is a dirty cap and draw balance for the current calculation run. If the calculation run that this run depends upon is replaced, the check box is selected.

    End

    The read-only calculation run end date, based on the value of the Calculation Run period.

    Include Draw

    If the check box is selected, the calculation engine applies and recovers plan draws in the calculation run.

    Name

    Name of the plan. Drill down on the hyperlink to access the Calculation Run Plans view.

    Quota Attainment Only

    (Optional) Select this check box if a quota attainment applies. As the default, the check box is cleared.

    Period

    Period (for example, January, 2003) for the calculation run.

    Release Date

    Release date for the calculation run. When the administrator releases a calculation run, this value is set.

    Releasable

    The check box, when selected, allows the current calculation run to be released.

    Released

    This check box indicates whether or not the calculation run is released.

    Replace

    (Optional) Allows you to select calculation runs that are replaced by the current run.

    Replace Type

    The type of run replacement. The default is Erase and Replace.

    Replaced By

    (Optional) A read-only check box that identifies calculation runs replaced by the current run.

    Replaced Status

    The read-only field shows the status of the current calculation run.

    Run Criteria

    (Optional) A text field that you can use to define a search based on fields in the Calculation Workbook. For more information, see Specifying Criteria for a Calculation Run.

    Run Date

    This read-only field shows the date that the calculation run started.

    Start

    This read-only field shows the starting date for the calculation run. This is also determined by the Calculation Run period.

    Visible

    (Optional) If the check box is selected, the calculation run results is visible. The check box can be selected before or after a calculation run.

    Year-to-Date Run

    (Optional) If the check box is selected, the current run is a YTD calculation run. The Cumulative Measure Period Type should not be defined in rules for Year-to-Date Runs.
