Downloading the Windows Drivers
The Converged Network driver requires download of both the
QLogic FCoE driver and networking driver (QLogic 10 GbE NDIS miniport
driver). This section provides procedures for downloading both drivers.
To Download the FCoE Driver
- Go
to the Oracle support area of the QLogic web site at:
http://driverdownloads.qlogic.com/QLogicDriverDownloads_UI/Oracle_Search.aspx
- Locate the table containing your
Converged Network Adapter model.
- At the bottom of the table, in
the Software for: row, click Windows.
- In the table for your Windows
operating system, find the appropriate driver.
- Save the file to a directory
on the hard disk of the system.
- Unzip (extract) the driver files
to a location on the hard disk of the system.

and Then Create a Driver Disk
The 10GbE Converged Network Adapter NDIS miniport
driver for Windows supports all NDIS 5.1/5.2/6.0/6.1 features. The
driver package contains the following files:
qlge.inf - Driver
installation file
qlge.sys - 10GbE Converged
Network Adapter NDIS miniport driver
qlge.cat - Catalog file
Release.txt - Release notes
Readme.txt - Installation instructions
and other useful information
This release of the FCoE Adapter 10GbE NDIS miniport driver
works with Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 as shown
in the following table.

- Go
to the following web site:

- Click the Converged Network Adapters
icon.
- In the selection list, select
your adapter model in the second column, select your Windows platform
in the third column, and then click the Go button.
- Under Drivers, click the download
link for the appropriate driver.
- Read the license agreement, and
then click Agree.
- When prompted, select to save
the driver to a temporary location on the hard drive or a blank
disk.
The disk should have the following file structure:
qlge.inf - Driver installation file
qlge.sys - 10GbE Converged Network Adapter
NDIS miniport driver
qlge.cat - Catalog file
Release.txt - Release Notes
Readme.txt - Installation instructions
