On the CMC, verify that the installed line cards are active:
# showpresent | grep LC
If an installed line card is shown to be INACTIVE, investigate why.
Check for line card power faults:
# checkpwrfault | grep LC
If an installed line card is shown to FAIL, investigate why.
Check line card internal voltages:
# checkvoltages
If an installed line card is shown to FAIL, investigate why.
Verify that the switch chips in the line cards are operational:
# checkswitches | grep LC
If an installed line card is shown as not boot correct, investigate why.
Retrieve each line card’s firmware versions:
# getfwversion lc slot
where slot is the slot number for the installed line cards. For example:
# getfwversion lc 0 FW versions for LC 0 H8 version : 0.1.1 LC FPGA version : 1.0.1 I4 FW image version : 7.2.00 #
Repeat Step 6 and record the information for each line card and compare to identify any discrepancies.
All line cards should have the same firmware versions.
