Understanding ILOM on the Switch
Cable curves are identified by their increasing size. Type A are the smallest, type F are the largest. Where you install the switch chassis in the rack determines which cable curves are attached to the outer branch of the cable tree. Consider the following:
Note - If you are delivering fabric cabling from overhead, there is no need to install the cable curves. The curves offer no advantage in this situation.
Identify the prerequisite and subsequent tasks you must perform in conjunction with this procedure, to install the switch.
See the table in Installation Sequence.
Determine which cable curves are appropriate for installation.
Note - You will need two of each type.
Using a No. 2 Phillips screwdriver, attach the smaller of the cable curves to the bottom position of the right outer branch with two M4 screws.
The cable curve points down and to the rear of the rack.
Repeat Step 3 with the larger cable curve, attaching it to the middle position of the outer branch with two M4 screws.
Attach the hook-and-loop fastener straps to the ends of the cable curves.
Secure the switch chassis into the rack.
