Front panel ports are typically used for maintenance and troubleshooting purposes in installed and running systems. External I/O cables are connected to the blade server or to an ARTM when one is used.
Using a Category 5e or better cable, connect one end of the Ethernet cable to a suitable 10/100/1000 MBASE-T Ethernet switch and the other end to one of the Ethernet ports on the blade server or the ARTM.
