To make repository data available for searching, the ATG platform must transform the data into a format that ATG Search can work with, and then load this data into the ATG Search system for indexing. This chapter describes the ATG classes and components that perform these functions, and explains how to configure or override these classes and components to work with the repositories on your site. It also provides guidance on how to configure this transformation process so the resulting index is neither unnecessarily large nor missing important data.
