This report provides three sets of comparison figures, including variance:
Today compared to yesterday and this day last year
Month to date compared to the prior month to date and the month to date last year; this uses the calendar date
Year to date compared to the prior year to date
The variance calculation is today’s value minus yesterday’s value, which is then divided by the lesser of today’s value or yesterday’s value.
MTDLY uses the day of the month to determine the cutoff. For example, if today is May 15, 2007, the report runs through May 15, 2006.
For each of these, it provides the following:
Net Sales
Orders
Units
Customers
Promotions
Site Visits
Average Order Size
Average Order Value
