Oracle Commerce Platform performance typically improves after an application has been running a while, because more requests can be satisfied from caches. Under some circumstances, it may make sense to prepopulate your caches, so that you get the benefit of the caches immediately. Note, however, that this benefit may come at the cost of slower startup times.
