OAM recognizes user populations and LDAP directory stores as identity domains. Each identity domain maps to a configured LDAP User Identity Store that is registered with OAM. This allows the LDAP directory to act as a master record for any user entered into OAM.

Note: The Oracle Commerce Platform supports only OAM LDAP authentication. For detailed information on creating and maintaining LDAP repositories in the Oracle Commerce Platform, refer to the LDAP Repositories section of the Repository Guide. For information on creating LDAP profile repositories, refer to the Setting Up section in the Personalization Programming Guide.
