To delay the display of dimensions until they offer useful refinements of the navigation state, you can create precedence rules.

For example, a precedence rule can require that a user navigate to a dimension "Country" before a dimension named "Province/State" appears in the navigation refinements, and that the user navigate to "Province/State" before a dimension named "City" appears.
