Declared parameter

Remarks on program function
The parameters for the cash declared entry at the terminal can be updated, i.e. programmed, changed or cleared, with this program. Data which has already been stored can also be displayed for information.
Note!
These parameters are only evaluated if
the cash declared entry at the terminal is called up with event
<DECLAREDENTRY> and if the option "Use SSP
decl.entry" has been set in program Terminal type
-> Add.data.
Another entry mask which requires entries for payment types for which these parameters are to apply is reached via Position.
Remarks on data fields
The following description deals with all available options for update of this basic data.
As with nearly all programs the following also applies here:
- The entry mask for this program may differ in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program. Some data fields may be missing.
- There may be defaults or firmly defined selection options for some data fields. These cannot be updated in the current program.
- Fields with enforced entry defined are to be found in the entry masks as are fields where entry is optional.
- If the data record is updated over several pages of entry masks, the dialog window is reached by clicking onto the appropriate button with <Mouse key 1>.
- The same procedure also applies to call up of another update program from this program.
- In some cases you may find so-called "Switches" which are activated or deactivated by the user with <Mouse key 1>, depending on the setting. Activated switches have a dark top, deactivated switches are lighter.
Company
Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 9999
Enter the number of the company for which the cash declared entry parameters are to be updated. If the number is not known, the data record can be selected with Search.
Branch
Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 99999
Enter the number of the branch for which the cash declared entry parameters are to be updated. If the number is not known, the data record can be selected with Search.
Declared parameter
Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 99999
This field allows for entry of the number under which the data record is to be/has been stored in the system.
A free number should be entered in the key fields for new programming.
Text
Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 20 pos.
Enter the name of the article in the field. The name entry is discretionary.
Max.attempts
Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 9
Enter a value in this field to define the number of attempts possible for declared entry at the terminal.
Max.total difference
Entry range permitted: decimal, max. 10 pos. with max. 2 decimal places
Enter an amount in this field to define the maximum total difference to be permitted for declared entry at the terminal. If the system establishes a difference for all payment types and if this exceeds the amount entered here, the declared entry cannot be completed. In this case, the declared entry will have to be repeated.
Open GC
Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 99999999
Select one of the options offered to define the procedure for declared entry if open guest checks are stored in the system. Selection is done by clicking onto the entry in the field and, with a second click, selecting the required option.
The system offers the following options:
- Never check
(Open guest checks are ignored for declared entry) - Warning
(A warning is issued if open guest checks are established during the declared entry) - Block
(The declared entry is aborted if open guest checks are found)
Open slip
Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 99999999
Select one of the options offered to define the procedure for declared entry if open slips are stored in the system. Selection is done by clicking onto the entry in the field and selecting the required option with a second click.
The system offers the following options:
- Never check
(Open slips are ignored for declared entry) - Warning
(A warning is issued if open slips are established during the declared entry) - Block
(The declared entry is aborted if open slips are found)
Dispenser
Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 99999999
Select one of the options offered to define the procedure for declared entry if the system has open recordings from the drinks dispenser stored. Selection is done by clicking onto the entry in the field and with a second click selecting the required option.
The system offers the following options:
- Never check
(Open recordings from drinks dispenser are ignored for declared entry) - Warning
(A warning is issued if open recordings from drinks dispenser are established during the declared entry) - Block
(The declared entry is aborted if open recordings from drinks dispenser are found)
Receipts
Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 99999999
Select one of the options offered to define the procedure for declared entry if the system has open receipts stored. Selection is done by clicking onto the entry in the field and with a second click selecting the required option.
The system offers the following options:
- Never check
(Open receipts are ignored for declared entry) - Warning
(A warning is issued if open receipts are established during the declared entry) - Block
(The declared entry is aborted if open receipts are found)
Open Paym. in Advance
Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 99999999
Open payments in advance are payments which are used for the EFT Terminal Xenta Spin-Connect.
Select one of the options offered to define the procedure for declared entry if the system has open payments in advance stored. Selection is done by clicking onto the entry in the field and with a second click selecting the required option.
The system offers the following options:
- Never check
(Open payments in advance are ignored for declared entry) - Warning
(A warning is issued if open payments in advance are established during the declared entry) - Block
(The declared entry is aborted if open payments in advance are found)

For active operator
Switch active: The
declared entry is done for the signed on operator
Switch deactivated: The declared
entry can be done for any operator.
Ask for bank no.
Switch active: The
bank no. must be entered for declared entry.
Switch deactivated: No bank no.
entry enforced for declared entry.
Print input
Switch active: The
entered declared results are printed.
Switch deactivated: No print of
the declared results during declared entry
Print result
Switch active: The
result of the declared entry is printed out on the receipt
Switch deactivated: The result of
the declared entry is not
printed on the receipt.
