Remarks on program function

The data for a compatible operating module, type Top Cash can be updated, i.e. programmed, changed or cleared, with this program. Data which has already been stored can also be displayed for information.

In addition to the specific data of this device, the number of the Installation, the process unit and a device no. must be assigned. Moreover, the Device interface and, as an option, the name and serial no. should also be stated.

Remarks on data fields

The following description deals with all available options for update of this basic data.

As with nearly all other programs the following also applies here:

• The entry mask for this program may differ in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program. Some data fields may be missing.
• There may be defaults or firmly defined selection options for some data fields. These cannot be updated in the current program.
• Fields with enforced entry defined are to be found in the entry masks as are fields where entry is optional.
• If the data record is updated over several pages of entry masks, the dialog window is reached by clicking onto the appropriate button with <Mouse key 1>.
• The same procedure also applies to call up of another update program from this program.
• In some cases you may find so-called "Switches" which are activated or deactivated by the user with <Mouse key 1>, depending on the setting. Activated switches have a dark top, deactivated switches are lighter.

Select one of the offered keyboard sizes by clicking onto this field and with a second click confirming the selection.

The system offers the following:

• Keyboard 6 row (60 keys)
• Keyboard 10 row (100 keys)

Debug

Field with firmly defined selection options

Select one of the offered debug levels by clicking onto this field and with a second click confirming the selection.

The system offers the following debug levels:

• 0 = no protocol of data communication in file "errlog" (default)
• 1 =
• 2 =
• 3 = display of all communication data in file "errlog"

Note:
Only select a value higher than "0" for the debug level if a protocol is required for error analysis. The details are shown in file "errlog" in directory work of the appropriate system unit.

Usage display

Field with firmly defined selection options

Select one of the offered operating modes for the display by clicking onto this field and with a second click confirming the selection.

The system offers the following:

• Operator display (default)
• Customer display

Error beep duration

Default = 000 = never ending

The duration of the error beep is defined in this field. Values from 100 to 25500 milliseconds are possible.

Scanner

Switch active: A scanner is connected up to this operator module

Switch deactivated: No scanner is connected up to this operator module

Magnetic cardreader

Switch active: A magnetic card reader is connected up to this operator module
Switch deactivated: No magnetic card reader is connected up to this operator module

Waiter lock

Switch active: A waiter lock is connected to this operator module
Switch deactivated: No waiter lock is connected to this operator module
