The program description deals with the following:
Update basic data, i.e. programming, changing or clearing, is possible with this program. Data which has already been stored can also be displayed for information.
The MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application allows the user to restrict access to application sectors. This is done by linking an operator to an Application group (update of application groups is normally not necessary). Linking means defining the application group (number, name) and in a second step determining the Group profile, i.e. restricting the access rights so that data cannot, for example, be confirmed, inserted and/or cleared.
As the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application also allows the user to program (terminal) profiles (and consequently restriction) for operators or terminals (see program Profile) entries made should not contradict each other.
The graphic ProfileOrganisation shows the various dependencies and options.
The following description deals with all available options for update of this basic data.
As with nearly all other programs the following also applies here:
Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 99
Enter the number of the group whose profile is to be defined. Application groups are updated with the program with same name.
The programmed application groups can be selected from field Appl.group under the table.
Entry range permitted: numeric 0 - 999
Number of the group profile under which the entries made in this program have been stored.
