While you define the table frame via the Keyboard Table, you embed the items – and therefore (indirectly) the item preset keys – in the table in this window.
A general description of the procedure and the interaction of the involved programs can be found in the chapter Item Preset Keys – Keyboard Tables and Input Levels.
In the following description, all available options provided for the maintenance of these basic data will be explained.
Just like in almost any other program:
The position number contains the four input levels. The number must be the same one you have entered or will enter in the field Event Data in the window Keys. When you work with item preset key tables, do not enter the item number in the field Event Data.
The chapter Item Preset Keys – Keyboard Tables and Input Levels provides information on the position number and examples with the various input options.
Enter the number of the item which is to be booked by default after pressing the item preset key.
You can enter the item number directly in the table. If you do not know the number, you can also select the item via the Search Function. By clicking on the right button, you enter the maintenance window Item.
Here you define the item of the input level 1. You enter the number of the item which is to be booked after pressing the Shift key (once) and then the item preset key.

Here you define the item of the input level 2. You enter the number of the item which is to be booked after pressing the Shift key (twice) and then the item preset key.
This applies, too, if you work with more than one Shift key (cp. Item Preset Keys – Keyboard Tables and Input Levels) and enter the second input level directly by pressing a key.
Here you define the item of the input level 3. You enter the number of the item which is to be booked after pressing the Shift key (three times) and then the item preset key.
