Remarks on the Program Function

By use of this program you can create, edit or delete the basic data of the main departments. Main departments are directly assigned to a company, and a maximum of 999999 main departments can be created for each company.

Note:
Items are compiled into departments. Programming of at least two organisation steps, i.e. Department and Main department, is imperative. All other superior organisation steps such as Section, Main section and Sector, are optional.

The following applies in general:
All items are linked to departments, all departments to main departments, all main departments to sections, all sections to main sections and all main sections to sectors.

The system must be defined in the correct sequence:

  1. Create Sectors.
  2. Create Main Sections and assign them to existing sectors.
  3. Create Sections and assign them to existing main sections.
  4. Create main departments and assign them to existing sections.
  5. Create Department and assign them to the existing main departments.

This paragraph will provide a short overview over the options available for updating these Basic Data.

Just like in almost any other program:


Company

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the company number for which you want to edit the main department.

If you do not know the number, you can select the data record via the Search Function.


Main dept.

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 999999

Enter the number of the main department in this field.

If you do not know the number, you can select the data record via the Search Function.


Descriptor

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 20 characters

Enter the descriptor of the main department in this field. You can enter a text with up to 20 characters.


Section

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 999999*

Enter the number of the Section to which the main department is assigned. The section must already exist in the system. Main departments are grouped in sections.

If you do not know the number, you can select the data record via the Search Function.


Repair group

Switch active: This main department can also be used for recording repair orders.

Switch deactivated: . This main department cannot be used to record repair orders.

With this option the selection of the item groups with the linked main department and the linked departments is offered for recording of Repair orders.

Note:
This option must be set for at least one main department so that an item group can be selected when recording repair orders.
