By use of this program you can maintain menu fields of the type Menu Field. Please note that in this program the maintenance should exclusively refer to text modifications. Execute this program in exceptional cases only. Not all fields will be described in the following.

Notes:

If you opened the program directly from the menu, the screen mask assigned to the Menu Type Menu Fields will be displayed by default. Depending on the selected menu type, further fields are displayed on the screen or faded out.

Just like in almost any other program:


Menu Type

Field with firmly defined selection options

Via this parameter, you assign a particular type to the menu field. Depending on the selection, you are lead to another program. This process is made visible by the partial change of the screen structure.

The following menu field types are available:

·        Menu fields

·        Menu stack

·        Menus

·        Menu Std.

·        Menu separating lines

·        Menu button

·        Menu toggles


Frame no.

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99999999

Every form (= every screen page/mask) is stored in the system with a unique frame number. This number is to be entered in a field. If you entered this window via the program Form, the corresponding frame number will already be displayed.


Field Number

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99999999

Every menu field has to be created with a unique number. The frame and field numbers make the menu field unique.

Parent Field

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99999999

Every subordinate field has to be assigned to the parent field. The assignment takes place by the input of the corresponding field number.


Field Name

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 20 chars

Internal description of the menu field. In combination with the Table Name, this field becomes unique.

Table name

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 20 pos.

Internal name of the table (= the frame).

The table name and field name make a menu field unique.
